Details: Job Classification: Contract Job Description:-The Mortgage Specialist II position involves the critical elements of gathering necessary information from loan applicants and verifying information through independent sources-Critical to this position is timely follow up with both borrowers and third parties to ensure the file advances to the closing department to ensure no delays with closing occur-The incumbent scrutinizes documents to ensure validity, substantiates income or cash levels and mitigate the potential for any unnecessary loss-The incumbent must have a strong understanding of the items necessary for each file, as well as why these items are needed-The Mortgage Specialist II must ensure that any documents obtained which may seem questionable in nature are further verified to ensure accuracy-Once documents are obtained and verified, the Mortgage Specialist II will submit the loan for approval from the Sr. Underwriter as well as document preparation-The incumbent may also be cross trained to learn other areas within the department, i.e. underwriting or doc drawingJoin Aerotek Professional Services&174.
